I know I haven’t put up a ‘what I got for Christmas’ post but I figured I would just mention my presents as I use them. One of the presents that I got from my partners daughter was a sleek makeup set.
This is pretty much a makeup selection box that has all you need to get the ultimate party look! All the products came in a lovely black box. Here is a list of the goodies that lay inside:
Brow Kit in 818 – Dark
I did worry at first when I saw that it was dark as I am a red head and as such I do have naturally light eyebrows but this wasn’t an issue as the colour was a copper toned brown which matched my brows perfectly! The kit consisted of a Brown pigmented wax, with an applicator brush for adding colour & shaping the brows. There was also a copper toned setting powder & angled brush as well as the cutest set of tweezers! It was all nicely packaged in a cute case. Perfect for popping in your handbag!
Blush by 3 Blush palette in 369 Pink Lemonade.
This, as the name suggest was a trio blush palette.
Icing Sugar: This was a high shimmer, dusky Pink Powdered Blush.
Macaroon: This was a baby pink cream blush.
Pink Mint: This was another high shimmer, powered blush this time in a peach tone. This is my favourite of the trio.
I would say when applying these blushes use a less is more attitude as these blushes are highly pigmented, but they do give a fantastic flushed effect. I really like them.
Highlighting Palette in Precious Metals.
This palette comes in a beautifully reflective metallic effect case. Consisting of four Highlighters, there is something for every skin tone. They are as follows:
Platinum: This is a white velvet cream with a high shimmer but no pigmentation.
Royal Gold: This is a peach toned Gold and is such a beautiful colour. It may be my favourite
Renaissance Gold: This is a high Shimmer velvet Cream. A darker version of Royal Gold I think this would look fantastic on the Brow Bone.
Antique Bronze: A shimmering powdered bronzer, as I don’t use bronzer I will most certainly be using this as a lovely shimmering Eyeshadow.
This palette also contained a Blush/bronzer Brush.
This box set also contained the Full Fat Lash mascara in Blackest Black. I love the packaging on this mascara, instead of the usual cylindrical tube it comes in a matte Black rectangular box container. It looks so sleek (excuse the pun) & sophisticated. It had a bulbous wand which is perfect for coating those small eyelashes at the corner of the eye.
The next item in the box was the Gloss Me, High shine Lip gloss in 2 Hawaii Honey. A lovely peach/Coral tone that applies to the lips smoothly and wasn’t overly sticky. It’s Great applied over a nude lipstick or worn alone. I really enjoy wearing this.
The penultimate item was the Eye & Cheek Palette in 028 See You at Midnight.
Presented in the iconic matte black covering we have come to associate with sleek. The palette consists of 2 blushes one a deep pink the other a muted pinky brown and four high shine eye shadows in Gold, purple/Brown, Shimmering Purple & Midnight Blue – a truly beautiful collection and perfect for ladies wanting to apply their makeup on the go!
The Final and quite frankly my favourite item in the collection was the I-Divine Eyeshadow palette in Storm. These twelve mineral based eye shadows are so pretty and are perfect for adding colour & shine to your look. Here are the shades:
- Sand storm – Dark Gold (shimmer)
- Snow Storm – Peach toned Gold (shimmer)
- Calm before the storm – Caramel brown (Matte)
- Thunderstorm – Bright Gold (Shimmer)
- Perfect Storm – A stunning Rose Gold (shimmer)
- Firestorm: Metallic pinky/brown (shimmer)
- Dust Storm – Rich Copper (Shimmer)
- Gathering Storm – Aqua Green (shimmer)
- Storm Cloud – Deep Green (Shimmer)
- Electric Storm – Electric Blue (shimmer)
- Eye of the Storm – Dark Brown (Matte)
- Black Out – Black (Matte)
This is a truly stunning palette that has something for everyone, no matter your tastes.
I loved this Gift, and I can’t wait to use all of the colours and effects throughout 2015!
Do you own any of these products?
