It’s that time of the month again….
I know that this is going up a little late but I prefer to take extra time to actually use the products before reviewing them so here goes…..
This months Glossybox was the ‘Summer is here’ edition.
The Magazine contained articles on Beauty from around the world, celebrity interviews and a feature on Really Ree the Beauty Blogger, which I found really interesting.
Moving on to the box itself, it contained 5 products, four of which are full sized products, here is what I received:
The first product was the So Susan Concealer Quad – When I heard that there was going to be a So Susan product in the June Glossybox I was intrigued to see what their products were like, having never heard of the brand before. I love the So Susan Packaging. Decorated with line drawings of models it managed to look both vintage and contemporary, which in itself is quite a feat. I received the Concealer Quad, which always comes in useful.
If I’m honest I am more likely to use this product as an eye shadow base than as a concealer as I already have numerous concealers that I use. There was also only one colour on the palette that I would use as a concealer, which is the lightest shade. I would definitely be intrigued to use other So Susan products though. Plus the packaging is just so adorable. 🙂 The So Susan Concealer Retails for £16.95 on the So Susan website so this was a great value. Grab yours at http://www.sosusan.com
The second item I received was my favourite item in the box. It was the Teeeze Beautiful Eyes Flat stiff Brush. This brush is amazing for applying eye shadow. I could not believe the effects this brush has. I will definitely be purchasing more of these brushes they are so amazing. They pick up a perfect amount of eye shadow, and they transfer it on to the eyelid really well. I could not recommend these brushes more!! The Only downside seems to be that other than eBay I cant seem to find a stockist for these brushes. Which is a real shame because I can’t wait to get my hands on more of them. They retail for £19.00 each (although I cant find them anywhere).
Thirdly was the nail girls 3-in-1 Base/Topcoat & nail strengthener. I like the versatility of the product and because of this I am probably more likely to use it than using three separate products. The packaging was very basic and didn’t make the product stand out. but this 3-in-1 nail coat definitely speaks for itself. This product retails for £13.50, I tried to access the Nail Girls website and it was unable to connect me, so once again I found this a little disappointing but I will keep on trying.
The next product was the Roger & Gallet Fleur de Figuier Discovery ritual. This consisted of three sachet samples: a shower cream, a body Lotion and a Fragrance. I was really happy that I got all three samples as I am a huge fan of layering fragrances. These samples smell amazing, the scent of fig is just delicious. I used these sachets in my evening shower and I found the scent to be really relaxing. I would definitely consider buying these products.
These products are available from marksandspencer.com. Prices start from £13.00
The last product I received was the Schwarzkopf Rise N Shine Volume Soufflé. I loved the beautiful rose gold colour of the packaging, it was just so pretty.
The soufflé itself was a lovely fluffy consistency and was a gorgeous girly pink colour.
The smell was lovely and fruity and it did give my roots plenty of volume. The only down side is that it felt like it left a film on my hair which was fine because I was styling a braid but if I was wearing my hair down this would be a huge no-no.
I’m not someone who usually struggles with flat hair, my hair tends to have quite a lot of volume anyway but this just gave my hair a little bit more of a boost.
This was a lovely product if styling an up do, but not if you want your hair to be soft and bouncy.
This product is available from boots.com currently on offer at £2.00.
Overall a good Glossybox that was great value for money.
Don’t forget to check out Glossybox at www.Glossybox.co.uk where you can still order your June Box.
I hope you guys enjoy reading my review as much as I enjoyed writing it.
