Birthday Shopping Haul!

This week was my Birthday and I got plenty of Money & vouchers so I headed straight to the Trafford Centre in Manchester and went on a little spree …….

MAC 217 Brush £18.00 – I usually use Real Techniques brushed, which I really love, but I really wanted a nice fluffy blender brush and I have only heard great things about this brush. I cannot believe how fluffy this brush is, it’s so soft I just love it! I love the effect it gives especially when doing a Smokey eye.

Mac 217prep & prime box

MAC Prep + Prime Beauty Balm In Light – I have a love/hate relationship with BB creams. I love to try them but I normally end up hating them! I Was really excited to hear that MAC was releasing one in a compact so I just HAD to pick this up and give it a try. I love the packaging and the fact that it comes in a compact. At first I thought it may be a little to0 light for me, but once blended in, it gave a beautiful finish and definitely blurred some of my imperfections. This BB cream also has an SPF of 30, which is just what my fair skin needs. Priced £23.00, grab yours from any MAC counter or at http://www.maccosmetics.co.uk

nars packagingNARS shadow

NARS Tropical Princess Eye Shadow Duo – This is a limited Edition Shadow Duo.  I first saw this on an email when it first launched and I really wanted it. At £25.00 it is quite expensive so when I got my Birthday money I just had to buy it!!

The first shade is a lovely lime green colour. As I have green eyes I absolutely love to wear green eye shadow but i have never owned one this colour, i usually go for darker greens. I really like how this looked.

The second shade is a beautiful lavender colour but when applied it looks ice white which I think is great on the brow bone or under the eye. The packaging for this was really beautiful too! Pick up yours at http://www.narscosmetics.co.uk

paperchase DiaryCath Kidston pen

Paper chase 2014-2015 Academic Diary – I don’t know why but I prefer to use an Academic diary as opposed to regular ones and I love the one’s from Paperchase, they’re just so pretty and are always hard wearing. At only £12.00,  I fell in love with this beautiful floral pattern, it’s perfect for going into summer. Check out this Diary and others at http://www.paperchase.co.uk

Cath Kidston Bright Pop Biro Pen £8.00 – I love the vintage look of Cath Kidston products!! I love the pens as they are great writers and are high quality and I now have every design in the current collection. When I saw this design I just thought it matched my Beautiful new Diary so I added to cart 😀

Smash box Light Primer – Ok so I have a confession to make. I don’t wear primer on a regular basis! I know that that is a huge faux pas and I have noticed lately that my makeup is starting to melt off in the heat and I really need to make a conscientious effort to start using it every time I wear make up! The main reason I don’t is because I have tried a number of primers in the past and I have just felt like they have done nothing and if anything left my skin feeling greasy so I figured if I try one of the really well known primers out there, that I have heard great things about then maybe I’ll get the results that I expect. I wasn’t wrong! This primer helped my make up stay in place all day, no melt, no grease & no shine! I opted for the light primer as I do get a greasy T-Zone especially with make-up on, and this primer really bowled me over! If you have ever had a bad experience with any other primer I would say try this one, it is pricey (£25.00) but it is worth every penny! It was also a great selling point that I got free Mascara with it too 🙂 Smash box Primer is available from larger Boots stores or at http://www.boots.co.uk

I apologise if some of the photographs are a little wonky a certain someone kept trying to get in all the shots…… Naughty Lucifer!!!
