March Favourites :)

March was definitely a month of new products. With spring/summer cosmetics and fragrances being launched I was like a kid in a candy stores (Debenhams actually) but here are a few new (and established) products I bought that never left my makeup bag throughout March.

Firstly was the Nude & Improved Eye Base & Concealer crayon by Jelly Pong Pong in Bare.

I first heard of this brand when I received a product of theirs in my monthly glossy box, but this product I won in a competition that Jelly Pong Pong were running on facebook.

I was so excited to try the products I won but this by far stood out. I’m not a fan of nude eye colours I’m definitely a bright colours gal but this product was beautiful. I first applied it as an eyeshadow base but I just loved the colour  & the effect of the pencil that I didn’t bother applying any other colour on top. This Crayon comes in 3 colours: Bare, Naked & Au Naturel, it is quite pricey at £22.00 but I would definitely re-purchase.

This second product has been a firm favourite of mine since the day I bought it. It is the URBAN DECAY Revolution Lipstick in F-Bomb.

As many of you guys may know I adore red lipstick and this Blue based red lipstick does not disappoint. This is a high pigmented lipstick that I think will suit most complexions. The main thing I love about this product is how creamy it feels on the lips, which isn’t surprising when you look at the ingredients.

Containing Nourishing oils (Jojoba & Avocado) AND creamy butters (Cocoa & Shea) it leaves my lips feeling moisturised. The colour itself also stays in place beautifully. I cannot recommend this lipstick enough Available from Urban Decay counters in Debenhams priced £15.00.

Another URBAN DECAY product that I have been using daily is the Ultra Definition Loose Finishing powder. This is a beautiful silky powder that I have been using every morning to set my concealer & foundation.

It is Jet Milled which means it is an extremely fine powder (it’s probably best not to sneeze round this product cause you’ll lose the whole tub) but it sits on the skin nicely. It gives a lovely natural matte finish. I’m quite in love with it 😀

Eau so freshDaisy Top

The final Beauty product I cannot do with out it Marc Jacobs – Daisy Eau so Fresh.

This is the ultimate spring fragrance and the bottle just screams spring time!!! The bottle is transparent so you can see the light pink perfume which is perfectly coordinated with the beautiful flowers that adorn the bottles lid. It smells amazingly fruity and it’s not too overpowering but does last all day.

Here are the fragrance notes:

Top Notes: Raspberry, Grapefruit & Pear

Heart Notes: Violet, Wild Rose & Apple Blossom

Base Notes: Musk’s, cedar wood & Plum

This fragrance is available from Debenhams in store & online. Priced £52.00 (75ml) &£67.50 (125ml).

Book: My favourite Books throughout March were the Facebook Killer Trilogy by M.L Stewart. It’s a great thriller series based around the social networking site check them out on kindle at

Film/TV – March was all about the TV series ‘Grimm’. Set in the modern day but based around the Grimm Fairy tales it’s a great detective/paranormal series. It’s currently available on Love Film in the UK.

Food/Drink: March was all about the Healthy Smoothies and juices. I fell in love with the Naked Smoothie drinks. My favourite smoothie is the Green Machine containing fruit (Apple, Banana & Kiwi) and then a good shot of healthy greens (Spirulina, Broccoli, spinach & wheatgrass). Available from most supermarkets priced £2.69 each.

So those are my March Favourites.

I Hope you Enjoy,

Secret Girly Girl
