Spring Skin xxx

skin care full

Hi Ladies, todays post is about a beauty subject that is very close to my heart– skin care.

I think it’s really important to look after your skin and give it the nutrients that it requires.

I have two separate skin care regimes – Spring/summer & autumn/winter. I like having two seasonal regimes because throughout the year your skin has different requirements depending on the season. No one wants to use a heavy moisturizer on a spring morning, just like winter ravaged skin will need a creamier cleanser than the one you use in summer.

I recently switched over to my Spring/Summer regime so I’ll walk you through it.

DHC Oil

Cleanser: Deep Cleansing Oil by DHC.

I first received a sample of this in my first ever Glossy Box and at first I was really unsure about using face oil as I have a really oily T-Zone. That all changed the minute I tried it. It literally melted the make up off my face and left my skin feeling amazing. Straight away I bought the full sized (200ml) bottle and with it’s nourishing Vitamin E & cleansing Olive oil it is my go to cleanser for Spring & Summer.  Simply rub into the skin and wash of with warm water.  Available from www.dhcuk.co.uk  £21.50 for 200ml.

Toner

Toner: Rehydrating Ginseng Toner by Elemis.

I am not a fan of cleansers or toners that contain alcohol as they dry out your skin and this is why I love this Toner. With Ginseng, Quillaja Wood & Betty Flower it leaves my skin feeling toned but not tight. It also smells nice and fresh without being over powering. Simply spray on a cotton wool pad and wipe over your face and neck. Available from www.timetospa.co.uk for £21.00 for 200ml

moistur

Day Moisturiser: Day Wear SPF15 by Estee Lauder.

This smells delicious. It smells of cucumber so it’s nice and fresh. It is a light cream so a little goes a long way. It does take a little while to absorb so I only put a thin layer on when wearing under make up. I got this full size product in a gift set from my boyfriend at Christmas and I would definitely re-purchase. Pick yours up at any Estee Lauder counter priced £40.00.

Night Cream: Moisture Surge by Clinique.

I Love this Moisturiser so much! I have combination skin, which means I have an oily T-Zone but dry thirsty cheeks and this is just perfect for them. This is a mix between a cream and a gel and again I first got this in a gift set but then repurchased. I put this on at night because I hate going to bed with a thick cream on when it’s not uber-cold outside. I don’t know if it is just my thirsty skin or not but this absorbs pretty much straight away. I also use this if I am in a rush and don’t have time to let my day moisturiser sink in. The only downside to this is that it can smell a little bit chemically, but overall is a firm favourite of mine. Available from any Clinique counter priced £32.00

Now that’s my basic skin care regime but there are always those little extras I like to throw in to give my skin the full works.

masks

Serum – Various

I like adding serums to my skin before I go to bed just to give my skin that boost to repair itself. At the moment I have loads of little samples of products so I’m pretty much using those up. Serum’s can be soooooo expensive so, like a relationship – I like to try different things before I commit 🙂 I am currently trying Advanced Genifique Youth activating Concentrate by Lancome. I wouldn’t say that this has blown me away at all and I have been using it for about a week. I can be quite impatient but if I have been using it for a week and I have felt nothing then I doubt I would buy this especially as it carries a £58.00 price tag!!

Face Mask: Papaya Enzyme Peel by Elemis

I love this face mask! For Christmas I got quite a few Elemis gift sets as I ADORE this brand, and in many of them were samples of this face mask. It comes in a cute Silver & grey tube and again smells delicious. As expected for papaya it smells really fruity and a little goes a long way. Simply apply to the face and neck and then wash off after 15 minutes. It leaves my skin feeling so soft. I would definitely purchase a full size product. Purchase from www.timetospa.co.uk for £29.50

skin blisscapsules

Superboost: Cellular Recovery Skin Bliss Capsules by Elemis

Some days your skin just does not want to play ball. It has dry patches or looks dull or if you’re in the city it is affected by pollution then do not worry there is a skin miracle – these capsules. They come in two colours Pink Rose capsules for in the morning or Green lavender night capsules. Now these capsules can be quite greasy so I would never consider putting them on in the morning but I do apply one about once a week at night time as a serum. They are really quite pricey but I got them once again in a gift set. They do wonders for your skin but I doubt I would buy the full sized version because they’re seriously breaking my budget at £79.50. If you wish to purchase you can get them at www.timetospa.co.uk

And that is my Spring/Summer Skin Care regime. I Hope you Enjoyed it!
