February Favourites!!

I know it’s nearly a week late but I have done much deliberating over my February favourites. So much happened in February. I went on an amazing Holiday to Tenerife & I celebrated being with my Boyfriend for 2 Years. Not forgetting I started this Blog! So after wracking my brains, finally, here are my February Favourites…

BEAUTY:

Yves RocherBarry MIMG_2593

My First Beauty favourite is the Cocoa Collection Hand Cream in Cocoa & Pistachio by Yves Rocher. A past Glossybox item, it is amaaaaaazing!  It comes packaged in a sleek chocolate coloured tube. The first thing you notice about it is the smell! It smells like Brownies!!!! I really didn’t know whether to rub it in or lick it off my hand! The non-greasy formula absorbs really quickly and the consistency is more like a thick milk than that of a cream. The best thing? It’s only £1.95!

You can get yours here: http://www.yves-rocher.co.uk/control/product/~category_id=4000/~product_id=83542/

My Second Beauty favourite is the TMLP Lip Paint by Barry M. This is lipstick but it feels like a balm. It looks green in the tube but once put on your lips, it reacts with the PH of your lips to turn them a personalized shade of pink. I l found this indispensable on holiday when the last think you want to wear in the sun is a thick Lipstick. This is a lip tint so the colour stayed putt all day.

This product is available at Boots & Superdrug stores.

super city

Thirdly, was for me, another holiday essential. Clinique’s, Super City Block SPF40. This was a very lightweight formula. I find it so hard to find a facial sunscreen that isn’t greasy and doesn’t affect my make up so this was perfect. During the day I wore it on it’s own but then when heading out in the evenings when the sun was still out I wore it as a Primer. The good thing about this product is that it has antioxidants in it too which help to protect the skin from pollution which is a bonus!!

BOOKS – I Have two favourite books this month the first is ‘Fashion’ by DK. It outlines all the different Costumes and Fashions throughout the ages, from Ancient Egypt to Alexander McQueen. As a huge fan of Halloween this will be indispensable, and it’s an amazing book. It’s available from Amazon.co.uk priced £19.50.

The second book is ‘Bobbi Brown Make Up Manual’ I got this as an anniversary present from my Boyfriend and it is really informative. Whether you’re a Make-up Artist or just someone who wants to learn more about make-up and it’s application then this book is for you. It’s full of hints, tips & essential information. Again this is available from Amazon priced £16.75.

TV SHOW – This month it was all about ‘Girls’. There really is no need to explain this one. It definitely got me through the flights to Tenerife, the only down side was trying not to LOL on the Plane. 😀

EDIBLES:

grazeGraze boxparty wafers

My favourite fuel this month was most definitely the Graze box. For those of you who don’t know what this is, it’s a scheme were you sign up to receive boxes of healthy goodies to snack on throughout the week, These boxes are £3.89 each and are delivered with the normal post. They can be delivered once every two weeks, once a week or twice a week. The Apple Cinnamon flapjacks are to die for!! So are the fiery seeds and their popcorn. Check out www.graze.com for details or to sign up for your free box.

I’ve also been filling my face with these Orange wafers from TK Maxx. They’re light fluffy wafers sandwiched together with an orange cream filling. I have all the girls in the office addicted. And they are only £1.79 for a massive bag. They also come in vanilla & Hazelnut flavours.

EVENT:

circusch

I loved going on holiday this month but my favourite event of February was my Anniversary. It has been 2 years since I went on my first date with my boyfriend. We celebrated it by going to watch ‘The Circus of Horrors’ which is where we went on our first date. It is an amazing show that you need to go and see. With great rock songs, sword swallowing and a lady swinging by her hair and not forgetting a novel way to do the hoovering.

It’s not one for the faint hearted, but it is unmissable!!! Check out their remaining dates at http://www.circusofhorrors.co.uk/

Well that’s my February Favourites – I hope you enjoyed it.
